Rochdale have appointed Newcastle Under-18 coach Frankie Bunn as the club's new assistant manager.The 48-year-old former Luton, Hull and Oldham striker will assist new manager Steve Eyre with first-team matters.
Bunn began his coaching career at Wigan before joining Manchester City as the reserve team coach, but then was recruited to Coventry by Iain Dowie.
He had a spell in joint-caretaker charge of the Sky Blues when Dowie was sacked before moving to Newcastle.
